Sarela Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking a SharePoint Online Data Engineer to provide support on our Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS) contract.
This is a hybrid position that requires the candidate to be on-site at least twice per week at our customer's Chantilly, Va or Durham, NC locations.
Responsibilities include the following:
Functions as a technical resource across multiple project teams and across functional units (where appropriate), while assisting with coordination between customers and project teams to document and implement new initiatives
Provides applied subject matter knowledge to high level analysis, collection, assessment, migration, design, development, modeling, simulation, integration, installation, documentation, and implementation.
Assists with resolving problems requiring applied knowledge of the related technical subject matter.
Applies principles and methods of the subject matter to specialized solutions.
Assists in SharePoint implementation of environment and site structure, STIG application and system hardening, and file system structures
Assists with engineering implementation of new solutions approved for integration into the O365 environment as pertains to SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business
Assesses and documents customer environments in preparation for migrations of their current SharePoint, OneDrive, and File shares into O365 and SharePoint Online
Works with project team to plan, document, and perform migrations of customer data into SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business
Assists with testing, management, and reporting of new and existing capabilities in SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business
Participates in team and customer interactions, with oversight from more senior team members, to analyze, design, and document SharePoint solutions and architecture suited to specific business needs and processes
Provides responses for other team members in support of end user support requests as needed
Other duties as assigned
Active DoD Secret clearance
Current 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
BA/BS in Computer Science or related field (OR additional years of experience in lieu of degree)
8 years of SharePoint engineering experience
Expertise in Cloud, Azure, MS Office 365 environments with emphasis on SharePoint Online (SPO)
Expertise with Microsoft SharePoint 2013/2016 On-Prem, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams
Proficiency with multiple SharePoint assessment and migration tools (i.e. AvePoint, Metalogix, etc.)
Proficiency with migrations into SharePoint Online
Experience with PowerShell scripting in support of SharePoint management and migrations
Analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
Solid work ethic and the ability to work in a mission critical environment independently and as part of a team
